Description

Mc Beard Shaving Soap creates thick and luxurious bubbles. It is a combination of Castor Oil, Coconut Oil, Rice Bran Oil, combined with skin-loving butters like Cocoa and Shea. It’s scented with a combination of spearmint and patchouli essential oils for a refreshing, yet earthy blend. Bentonite clay is added to give the soap ‘slip’ which helps prevent razor burn.

Updated review on Phenak shaving soap

Reference to review below have waited to soap to further cure and harden, used a large synthetic brush instead
of badger brush earlier and here are my observations...upgrading my earlier review from good to Great/Excellent as every ones experience may vary

Pros

1) Great Ingredients-A++

2) Good packaging A++

3) Scent is simple but good and effective, sometimes less is more-A++

4) Slickness is amazing like Teflon, best of any Indian artisan, plus the hair feels wetted and cuts easily-A++

Cons

1) Cushioning needs to Improve

2) Jar size/ Jar mouth should be bigger for loading properly with brush.

End Verdict-Great People, great product, great support, lets support our local artisans :)

Got curious about this soap and ordered from priyanka....below is in detail review
Pros
1) Natural well thought out ingredients with expiry date
2) Good packaging in glass jar with attractive label
3) Scent is pleasent and just right
4) Slickness is amazing
5) First indian maker I know of to add bentonite clay which helps in Slickness so kudos for thinking of this.
Cons
1) Jar mouth is too small for loading properly with brush,plus jar needs to be bigger as well.
2) Labelling needs to be uniform
3) Cushioning is lacking and needs major improvement which is a concern when using shavettes or aggressive razors like Muhle R41 which I do.
Overall worth a try and we need to support our local artisans and looking forward to improved versions.
