Skincare routine for Monsoon

Monsoon showers are everywhere, providing relief from the scorching heat and keeping us refreshed through the day. Getting drenched in the rain is therapeutic, a feeling, a state of happiness, you cannot avoid the fragrance, the greenery everywhere, and the tranquillity.

Moisture and humidity also come along with Rain. While the Rainy season is pleasant, it invites infection and many skin care problems after a sweaty day.

When you get drenched in rain, don’t forget to take a shower. You should keep your skin dry most of the time to keep infections away from yourself.


This pleasant weather requires a special Skincare routine. Here are some tips that you should follow to give yourself the best look.


  • Do not miss to Exfoliate


To remove dead cells, exfoliate your skin twice or thrice a week. You must always use a mild scrub that will not have thick granules as it can harm your skin. For normal or combination skin, you can use an exfoliating face wash also, containing salicylic or glycolic acid. For dry skin, moisturizing scrub is recommended. Always make it a routine to exfoliate your skin.


  • Keep your skin clean


The most important step to boost your skin health is cleansing. So, clean your skin using a mild face wash to remove impurities from your skin.


  • Water – drink it more 


During the rainy and cold season, skin tends to lose its moisture and so our skin starts dehydrating and flaking. So, to maintain the moisture level of your skin, you should drink lots of water. Drinking water will help to provide the deep moisturisation to the skin inside. Water also helps to flush out all toxins from the body and make your skin healthier.


  • Say No to Hot Water Bath


During this season you would like to have a hot water bath to relax your mind and body. But hot water often results in skin breakout, so it should be avoided. Lukewarm water is good to use ☺


  • Avoid makeup – Be natural 


Heavy makeup is not recommended in this season, since makeup has lots of chemicals which leads to dryness of skin.


  • Last  but not the least, Eat right!


Your skin will glow naturally and will be healthier if you will have more fruits and green vegetables in your diet. Fruits with antioxidants, Vit E and Vit C shall help you make your skin healthy and glow naturally.
